LSAW (Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded) pipe is a type of large‘diameter welded steel pipe made by forming flat steel plates into a cylindrical shape and then joining the edges with a straight longitudinal weld using the submerged arc welding (SAW) process. In SAW, the welding arc is "submerged under a layer of granular flux, producing a strong, clean, dense, and uniform weld seam that runs parallel to the pipe™s length, giving the pipe excellent mechanical properties such as high strength, toughness, and pressure resistance.
